I am incredibly grateful for the month-long course I took at Bruslang. The quality of instruction was very high, and the teachers went above and beyond to provide extra support and explain concepts where needed. I highly recommend this program for any student who is looking for a way to learn in a dynamic, real-world setting. After a month, I feel much more confident using Russian in both an academic setting and in daily life.

Dieser Sprachkurs war schlichtweg begeisternd – eine der schönsten und bereicherndsten Erfahrungen seit Langem. Die Lehrkräfte waren didaktisch exzellent und mit ansteckender Begeisterung und Einfühlsamkeit bei der Sache. Sie sind wunderbar auf meine individuellen Lernziele eingegangen und haben den Unterricht so lebendig gestaltet, dass ich jeden Tag mit Vorfreude gekommen bin.
Ganz besonders in Erinnerung bleiben mir die kreativen Momente auch außerhalb des eigentlichen Unterrichts: der Yoga-Kurs auf Russisch mit wunderschönem Blick aufs Meer, der faszinierende Besuch bei Radio Estonia und der spannende Wochenendausflug nach Narva – Sprache lernen mit allen Sinnen und in authentischem Umfeld!

Mein Russischkurs in Tallinn hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Durch die kleinen Gruppen hatten wir viele Möglichkeiten, Russisch zu sprechen, und ich fand es besonders gut, dass der Unterricht sehr interaktiv war. Außerdem habe ich viele neue Wörter und Ausdrücke gelernt, die im alltäglichen Russisch tatsächlich verwendet werden und über typische Lehrbuchformulierungen hinausgehen. Besonders gut haben mir auch die interessanten Ausflüge nach dem Unterricht gefallen, zum Beispiel in die Tallinner Altstadt und zu Estlands russischsprachigem Radio. Es war eine tolle Erfahrung, und ich würde den Kurs auf jeden Fall jedem empfehlen, der sein Russisch verbessern und das Gelernte direkt anwenden möchte.

Ich habe den Russischkurs in diesem Sommer zum ersten Mal besucht und bin ganz begeistert davon. Der Kurs ist hervorragend organisiert gewesen. Die Kursleiterinnen machen eine ausgezeichnete Arbeit und bieten ein abwechslungsvolles, sehr interessantes Programm an. Gerade auch die Interaktion mit anderen KursteilnehmerInnen macht den Kurs noch spannender und auch unterhaltsamer. Toll sind auch die gemeinsamen Ausflüge, die ebenfalls in das Kursprogramm eingebunden werden, z.B. indem man die Gelegenheit erhält, zu einer Sehenswürdigkeit einen kurzen Vortrag auf russisch zu machen. Ingesamt eine tolle Erfahrung mit grossen Lerneffekten. Es ist ein Kurs, an dem man gerne wieder teilnehmen möchte.

I thoroughly recommend Bruslang language school. The teachers were very competent, experienced and friendly. The lessons were carefully constructed to bring us each morning to a point where we could discuss the theme using the vocab and grammar studied. The relaxed atmosphere helped me gain confidence. I hope to come back one day!

This course brings together a “whole person” approach to help a student learn. You will have chances to speak, read, listen, and study at a pace that fits the desire of the student. The cultural excursions are amazing! You will have a lot of opportunities to experience the country while studying. The professors are true professionals!

The classes are organised and separated by ability, allowing students to learn without being overwhelmed (in a class too hard) or bored (in a class too easy). There are many things to see and museums, many of which we visit as a class. It’s a good mix of language training and cultural exposure.

This Russian language course in Estonia was a valuable and memorable experience. The lessons were engaging, well organized, and helped me become more confident in speaking Russian. I appreciated the supportive teachers, the chance to practice with classmates from different backgrounds, and the opportunity to learn more about Estonian culture. I am leaving with improved language skills and wonderful memories.

Когда я пришёл на курсы Bruslang, я не знал, чего ожидать. Несмотря на то, что русский язык является моим родным, за десятилетия жизни за границей уровень языка, особенно разговорной речи, уже был не таким, каким должен быть.
Преподаватели достаточно быстро определили, над чем мне необходимо работать, и помогли сосредоточиться именно на этих аспектах. Особенно полезной для меня оказалась практика разговорной речи, которая позволила значительно увереннее выражать свои мысли и расширить словарный запас.
Занятия проходили в профессиональной, но при этом комфортной атмосфере. Материал объяснялся понятно, а преподаватели всегда были готовы помочь и ответить на вопросы. Я действительно почувствовал прогресс и могу смело рекомендовать Bruslang всем, кто хочет улучшить свой русский язык, независимо от того, является ли он родным или иностранным.

There are a lot of great tools for learning Russian – apps, audio courses, podcasts, and other online resources. But at some point, you need face-to-face conversation, real-world situations, and immersion in the language. That’s not easy to find today. Bruslang’s classes in Tallinn are the best way to get this. The classes offer an immersive conversational environment, with students from many countries who use Russian as their common language. The classes are carefully designed also to encompass traditional classroom learning – with a focus on grammar and vocabulary, as applied to contemporary themes and cultural topics. Tallinn provides a great backdrop for the experience, with opportunities to find Russian entertainment, work through occasional real-world challenges in Russian, and frequent opportunities to hear or participate in conversation “in the wild”. All of my experiences with Bruslang (3 courses in person, as well as numerous online conversation clubs) have been extraordinary.

I was not sure what to expect coming to Tallin from the USA for this course, but the teachers were all amazingly warm and welcoming. The city of Tallin has a fascinating history and beautiful architecture, and it is quite easy to get around using public transportation or by walking. The course, the school and the city all exceeded my expectations.

Diana hat ihre Methodik und ihre Erfahrungen aus der hervorragenden Sprachschule in Novosibirsk in optimaler Weise nach Tallin übertragen. Die vielfältige Didaktik bringt meines Erachtens die besten Erfolge. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. A stimulating and engaging course with supportive and knowledgeable teachers.

Looking to turbocharge your Russian? I recommend Bruslang in Tallinn as a challenging yet friendly and thoroughly enjoyable option. Teaching techniques range from role-playing and games to debates and even a mock courtroom trial and landscape painting lesson. Yes, there are grammar tutorials and written homework assignments, but in doses that to me felt just right. And Russian in Estonia’s historic, beautiful capital isn’t just a classroom exercise. You can apply what you’ve learned every day in Tallinn’s streets, shops and restaurants with local native speakers. My 4-week fall 2025 course included numerous class outings, including to a ballet version of Tolstoy’s “Anna Karenina,” a Russian-language production of the Broadway classic “My Fair Lady” and the Tallinn residence of Peter the Great. All trips were thoughtfully designed to broaden and deepen the student’s knowledge of Russian.  My heartfelt thanks to Diana and everyone at Bruslang for a rich and wonderfully satisfying program.

J’ai passé deux excellentes semaines de cours de russe à l’école Bruslang à Tallinn. Les professeures Diana, Maria, Alla et Marina ont toutes été très professionnelles, pédagogues et motivantes. L’ambiance générale de l’école est chaleureuse et encourageante, ce qui rend l’apprentissage du russe encore plus agréable.
Les activités proposées en dehors des cours étaient bien choisies et vraiment intéressantes, permettant de pratiquer la langue dans des contextes variés. L’enseignement est de grande qualité et adapté aux besoins de chaque étudiant.
L’école est également très bien située : à proximité directe d’un centre de fitness, de studios de yoga, d’un supermarché, et seulement à 10 minutes à pied de la plage – parfait pour alterner étude et détente.
En résumé, une expérience enrichissante que je recommande sans hésitation !

I was only there for 2 weeks but I did not expect to make so much progress. Not only in my speaking but especially in my comprehension. I started from basically 0 (only knowing the alphabet and very limited vocabulary) to now being able to talk about myself and others in different tenses, and even express my own thoughts in a basic manner. My comprehension also improved immensely. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and to the teachers for the incredibly impressive quality of teaching they provide, in and out of class. I could not recommend it enough.

Kurs zaskoczył mnie bardzo pozytywnie. Jako Polka co prawda nauka szła bardzo sprawnie, ale to jak materiały były przedstawiane naprawdę dawało mi chęć do ciągłej nauki. Ciągle bym tylko siedziała nad zadaniami domowymi. Satysfakcja po kursie jest ogromna.

The course was excellent, well-planned and interesting. The teacher, Diana, was very encouraging, positive and patient. She organized both lessons and extra activites to accommodate everyone’s interests and levels of Russian. Tallinn is a beautiful town and, short of studying in Russia, my experience could not have been better.

Una scuola di russo veramente unica. Una scuola che fornisce dei corsi di lingua russa intensivi ma alla quale vai con gioia. I gruppi sono sempre composti da persone super carine e interessanti e di tutte le età’. In ogni momento della giornata, inclusi i we siamo immersi nella cultura e nella lingua. Una scuola che consiglio a veramente tutti quelli che vogliono praticare la lingua e incontrare nuovi amici.

I loved the summer school – challenging, fun and engaging classes, dedicated teachers and a supportive and motivating environment. Every aspect of the course, in and out of the classroom, was designed to maximise practising Russian. This was my second course and I’m sure I’ll be back again.

Our summer course was a great learning experience in so many ways. Classroom learning is of course a huge part of the program, although the material is never dry or static. Exercises in class cover vocabulary, grammar, word usage and all the related academic subjects, but structured through a variety of compelling tasks, film clips, literature, historical segments and discussions around contemporary topics. Our group was engaged and focused, such that the experience was very immersive. All the time outside the classroom, including the historical, artistic, cultural, travel and social aspects made this a uniquely valuable experience, and one that really accelerated my Russian study. I would highly recommend the program to any serious Russian language learner.

C’est avec un grand plaisir que je suis revenu cet été en Estonie pour suivre un cours intensif de russe chez Bruslang . Encore une fois tous les ingrédients étaient réunis pour passer un excellent séjour : des cours d’une grand qualité , un suivi pédagogique sérieux et des sorties culturelles passionnantes. Je conseil Bruslang à toux ceux qui souhaitent découvrir l’Estonie tout en apprenant le russe… sans oublier les nouvelles rencontres à chaque fois inoubliables!

Questa é stata un’esperienza a dir poco positiva. Non mi aspettavo un tale livello di organizzazione né che sole due settimane di corso potessero avere un tale impatto positivo sul mio processo (finora molto lento!) di apprendimento. Il tutto ha di gran lunga superato le mie aspettative. I membri dei gruppi erano stati selezionati molto accuratamente, per cui ne risultava che non ci fossero particolari differenze di livello e che tutti potessimo interagire in modo efficace e divertente. La mia speranza é di poter partecipare a questo corso tutte le estati! Tallinn (splendida cittá!) o altrove, ne sarei ben lieta. Ringrazio ancora di cuore tutti i membri dello staff che con tale gentilezza e calore ci ha accolti!

Dans la mignonne et accueillante ville de Tallinn, j’ai pu profiter pleinement de deux semaines de très bien préparées et organisées par Diana, une personne aussi professionnelle que bienveillante. J’ai particulièrement apprécié la qualité, la diversité des supports proposés, qui sont créés à partir de nos besoins. On sent bien qu’ils sont conçus pour permettre aux étranger d’entrer dans la langue russe, par la communication. Je me suis sentie progresser, gagner en autonomie, en comprenant comment se forme/se comprend le lexique russe, et en automatisant les règles de grammaire et les structures les plus fréquentes. Les interactions avec les autres étudiants sont joyeuses et motivantes.

I loved this course! The material always feels manageable and yet challenging, and the teachers have a great sense of your level. I found the hours spent both speaking and listening incredibly valuable for refreshing my Russian level.
